Free Clip Art Of Pretty Floral Designs From Turn of the Century China Painting.

Hi everyone! Welcome.

It is so fun searching around for things to put on bumble buttons. You never know what will turn up! I came across a book from the early 1900s that was about china painting. There are diagrams and guides for decorating china of any kind. Today I am posting the pictures that are in color. Most of the pictures in the book are black and white. I would love to see how you use them.
As always the images are free for your personal use and enjoyment.
So glad you stopped by and hope you found something you can use.
Much love to you all, Louise

Kate Greenaway illustrations to share with you. Children in Regency clothing.

Hi everyone!
Today the charming art work of Kate Greenaway (1846-1901) is featured.  Kate Greenaway was an English children's book illustrator and writer. The children she drew wore clothing inspired by the late 1700's and Regency period. In the 1880s and 1890s children's clothing was manufactured based on her drawings. Just like Jane Austen would have little girls had high-waisted dresses, mob caps and straw bonnets to dress in.
Thank you for visiting and following and so many kind comments. Much love to you all, Louise

Free Clip Art French Labels and Frames for Collage, Labels and Scrapbooking!

Hi everyone! Welcome to you all.
My search for images was very successful. I found an old french book with the best graphics. There are so many that a weekly post featuring them maybe needed.  French Fridays? Since I do not speak French I have no idea what they say. They look pretty with the lettering so I have posted both versions.
Enjoy and create something beautiful.
Much love, Louise

A Legacy Sale- Buttons - Free 1860 bird prints to use in your scrap booking, ATC and collage

Hi everyone! Time to get something warm to drink and spend some time on Bumble buttons.

Today is the Legacy's big sale. Lots of books, yarn and fabric. Beautiful books for .50 each. Fabric is $5.00 a bag. What a deal!!
They are still trying to go through all the merchandise that has been in storage.  Also a large donation came in.   Two trucks full and one more next week. I was not there but I assume it was a pickup truck and not a big old u-haul! Kathy, Denise and all the volunteers have been busy.

Last month there were only a few buttons donated. What did come in was wonderful. Today has been spent cleaning and sorting buttons. Several tested positive for being Bakelite. People are always asking for them. I have many set aside for Ebay and will let you know when they are listed. So far they have mostly been selling sewing patterns and needle work. Legacy Ebay listings
Today I have a group of antique bird prints for you. Use them in your projects or print them for framing. They are free for your personal use.

Create something beautiful! Much love. Louise

Women with Crowns and Flowing Gowns ~Mythical themed art and pictures

Today has been a little of this and a little of that kinda day. Not settling or working on one project. But for my post I have to have a theme. And of course that means finding something pretty. The perfect reason for getting lost in web libraries and art galleries. So the day slips by and I've stayed up all night.
The pictures today are a departure from my usual fare. A few are from children's fairy tale books. All have a mythical quality. Enjoy them. Tomorrow who knows what I'll post!

My Mom's 80th Birthday and the Quilt ~ Women and Daughters Sewing in Paintings~

Mom's 80th birthday party was a success!  It was fun and lovely. Our neighbors from 40 years ago had great stories and memories. The 3 great grand children (under 4 years old)  made the party lively. One of the little boys loved looking at mom's charm bracelet. She couldn't have been happier.
My part of the celebration was making a quilt!!!!
It was my first one and I was sewing the finishing touches all night and morning of the party. It was folded and wrapped before the quest arrived.
This was the gift from my sisters and I. They hadn't seen it so I was a little nervous about it.
Everyone loved it!
As soon as some pictures are sent to me I will post them.
It only seems appropriate to post images of women sewing!!! So that is the theme for today.
 Enjoy. Much love, Louise
